Thank you for giving your time and talents to the ministry of Bless This Home! We appreciate the chance to get to know you and work alongside you to serve women and families in our area who could use our help. Here are a few of the guidelines that are essential to know:
• Wear sturdy/comfortable shoes and layered clothing - you never know when the conditions will change. Please don’t wear jewelry that you care to lose or bring personal belongings into the space. Keep them locked in your car.
• We often have fun jobs to do, and sometimes there are some “not so fun” tasks to accomplish. Keeping a positive attitude and remembering with gratitude our own lives of relative ease will help get through the necessary tasks.
• Be very mindful of social conversation while working in the space - especially if the client is there. Avoid conversations about money, spending, travel etc. and remember we are there to serve by setting up the space and creating a warm, welcoming space for them. No conversation around the client's choices/decisions/style/lifestyle/family members etc.
• Keep a sense of humor and be flexible. Things can go awry. The drill runs out of battery, or someone forgets an item and improvisation needs to happen. God has a beautiful way of taking our best efforts and working everything out for His good.
• Maintain safety. We never work alone in a space. Please wait in your vehicle until another volunteer has arrived. If we end working when the light is fading, plan to walk together to vehicles and drive a volunteer to another car.
• When in doubt, give a shout. Call or Text the Team Lead for the day with any questions. Everyone will receive the phone number for communicating needs and any questions and concerns.

“So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing
if we don’t give up.” ~ Galatians 6:9 NLT
